I was wondering about the speaker as well. The old RCX definitely can beep, and make a whole host of other sounds. Not being an electronics engineer, I'm was uncertain of my ability to identify the speaker on the 1.0 board. It's not the thing that's (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You could get a battery adaptor, that is, a device for putting AAA batteries where AA batteries should go. They're available easily here in the UK - Maplins for example.
