He he - how about using a digital watch then - the ones that can 'learn'
TV operation.
Now having said that flippantly, now 'we' are able to write our own
code, then maybe that isn't so silly. A basic raw code could be
downloaded, and the remote could take over from there - ie L, R, STOP
etc. - or change 'program'.
Is all this dreaming? RCX with remote control using a programmable
handset? In the UK these are very cheap.
