In addition, I believe that Busy Bee still carries this
(I got one from them a few months ago).

| (...) Well, all of the Technic idea books are out of print and unavailable from shop-at-home. There are 4 different ones: 8891 - (1991) I see occasionally in auctions on rec.toys.lego 8890 - (1998) also seen occasionally on rtl auctions 8889 - (...) (26 years ago, 19-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
