I tinkered with some multiplex schemes like this
http://www.plazaearth.com/usr/gasperi/MUX.HTM that simply connect different
sensors to a single input in a fixed sequence. It workes OK for passive
sensors like touch or temperature or voltage inputs. To make it work with
active sensors you would need an external power supply. I guess I have not
done much more with it because I've gotten used to the RCX for what it is.

| (...) Yeah, I would really like to see such an expansion too! Someone was talking about an I2C bus interface, but the thread appearently died out - Is someone working on this?. I could also think of a "dummy RCX" which cannot be programmed but will (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
