The unfortunate thing with this approach is that you've used up 2/3 of your
inputs just for steering.

| (...) I wouldn't say /just/ for steering. And in fact I only use in input, since the touch sensor can be connected in parallel with a light sensor or such thing. The touch sensor is by the way only used during initialization, when the outer limits (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) I don't have the 8448 myself (yet!). But I've been working with steering for quite a time now. I've experienced the steering motor tear a car apart also, and my solution was to add a rotaton sensor to the motor shaft, then gear it down by a (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
