  I use Rayovac Renewal rechargable alcalines myself.  I get lots of time on
each charge and can use the same cells over and over again for over a year. I
get a four pack of AAs for about $6 and spent $25 or so on the charger and this
setup has EASILY paid for itself.  NiCds or NiMH cells only have 1.2V per cell
instead of 1.5V so their performance isn't as good IMHO.

I've been using Duracell alkalines and they don't seem to last very long at all. Has anyone found a brand that works better? (I've avoided the Duracell "Extra" (or whatever their premium supermarket battery is) because the package seems to imply (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
