    #8480 Space Shuttle —Al Thiele
   (1) LEGO Shop-At-Home recently found a number of 8480 Space Shuttle sets that had apparently been lost in distribution. This set was considered "gone forever" late last year. I bought one and am blown away by its ingenious design. Two motors (which (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I saw one of these at The Construction Site once, and decided never to buy one on the grounds that the model is so great that I'd never take it apart once assembled, and that'd be such a waste of parts. :) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: #8480 Space Shuttle —Robert Munafo
For anyone living near southeast Massachusetts, you could try calling Toys R Us in Kingston. I bought one there for $130 (which is a lot cheaper) and they still had 8 left. Their number is 781-585-1200, and they're open until 9:30 PM. Just make sure (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Yeah, that's it. 6456 Mission Control (1998). I don't know why I didn't find it but it doesn't matter (-: So if you're calling around for an 8480 Space Shuttle, make sure they're not looking at 6456 Mission Control. (...) at (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: #8480 Space Shuttle —Jun Yu
ive been to toysruses in northern ca and in southern ca and they each had one 8480, although in really beat up shape. if you happen to get a nice manager, like i did, you can talk him into giving it to you for $89, which is how much they get from (...)         Re: #8480 Space Shuttle —S. Crawshaw
There are still a few of these floating around the UK - I got one in "Toy World" (Fleetwood, Lancs) for 60 pounds the other day. (3 left) And we can always hope that the Toymaster chain (of which I think Toy World is a factory clearance outlet) will (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: #8480 Space Shuttle —Simon Robinson
(...) I'll ditto that (about there still being 8480 Space Shuttles in the UK). The factory outlet shop in the Galleria, Hatfield, still had quite a few of them last time I looked (a couple of weeks ago). And no I haven't seen the toymaster sale. I (...)
