As far as I can tell, the limits of reading the temp sensor (using the RCX
firmware) are from about -20C to +70C. Anything outside of that range
will not get interpreted by the RCX firmware.
If you're thinking about reading it in some custom manner (or interpreting
the raw sensor readings) beware that the sensor is not really linear. The
RCX firmware does a piecewise linear interpolation on the raw values.
