One day Dr. Franzenstein's son (4 yr. old Franzenstein Jr.) proudly presented
his last creation; a live-sized basketball net of Lego. Unfourtunately
Franzenstein Jr. had used 12 full length Lego axel's to make the hoop
which he somehow very carefully had manged to make completly round (Like Father
Like Son?).

Trying to save the family's supply of Lego axels Dr. Franzenstein then rammed
the 12 axels into a line of 12 angle beams and started to warm them up. The
idea being the axels would then straighten up. Because the axel plastic seemed
"softer" than the beam plastic he was sure to be able to find the right
balance.

At 80 degrees celcius Dr. Franzenstein found that the axles (now inside the
beams) were not getting enough heat. Time was running a little short so he went
up to 100 degrees (at this point both his logic and his Lego failed him).

As always Dr. Franzenstein's experiment was made with the best intentions but
failed and produced terrible results. He was last seen looking for 12 full size
axles and 12 angle beams...

I loved the chronicles of Dr. Franzenstein. Please tell us more amazing, but true stories... :-) BTW, I've seen many of your models. Excellent. <ICS> -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-99, to lugnet.robotics)
