Hello List!

It seems that Lego refuses to sell the Mindstorms Roboticcs Invention Kit to

Remember, this was supposed to be a kids product.

The only robotics set available in Germany is this Lego Technic
Cybersomething amulinium box for kids.

CyberMaster. And you are lucky because you are the only country that sells with an aluminium box, the other countries sell it in a card box.

Furthermore, it seems that even none of the various online resellers make
business with foreign customers.

Try these:

Mondo-tronics' Robot Store
http://robotstore.com/lego_mindstorms.html

LEGO World Shop
http://www.legoworldshop.com/

This leads me to three questions:

1. Is it worthwile to buy this Cyberthing when there is not a single add-on
product of the Mindstorms series available?

CyberMaster is worth, but you need to know Visual Basic programming (or other) to do anything useful with it.
On the other hand MindStorms is much much easier to start with.
Go for MindStorms if you can.

2. Will Lego change their policy soon?

Next September they'll star selling MindStorms for the rest of the Europe with many localized versions.
