| | (...) This is a good point. I admit it, I spend a LOT of time trying to find ways to increase the range of my RCX. To date, I've actually spent more time building new input/output devices than I have actually building and programming robots. But, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | I have to admit I actually don't know all that much about robotics itself. The mindstorms are my first foray into robotic creation and programming. I just thought it would be helpful to point out the memory limitation in the H8/300. In that respect, (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | | I posted this link to a book on sensors and effectors for robots. This book, which you can download for free, contains nearly 300 pages with *great* illustrations. It's a pretty weighty tome, though (comes in at over 13.5MB, but is in PDF (Adobe (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

So, um, since O'Reilly traditionally puts an animal on the cover, what animal is this one going to have? I suggest that you (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | I concur with Jonathan's recommendation on the Flynn/Jones book. It is very well done, it is thorough, and it is a pretty good introduction to robotics. I built the Rug Warrior Pro mentioned in the book without prior practical knowledge of robotics (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | Thanks to everyone for all of the great references. Now I've got enough reading material to last a good month and a half. But come to think of it, I really didn't want to get my homework done anyways. :) Thanks again, --Ryan (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
