Give it enough wire and there's no reason you couldn't nip over those two
degrees. On the theory of the more range the better, you could let the
wire twist some, and get maybe +/-360 or more. Just have it re-center
after every attack and you should be OK.
Has anyone considered a Bungee Blaster launcher as a primary weapon
system? Given the size of the arena they could probably do rather well,
especially the first alternate model with the wide track in the front
could do some nasty damage. It would be even better with some more mass
to help keep the rears on the ground and increase the momentum.

| I actually went and purchased a bungee chopper (8202) just to create a bungee launcher for the Lego counter-weight pieces. The 9v motors don't wind the bungee cord too well without some extreme gearing to increase torque but they really get the (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
