OMG!! I just had an idea that sort of marries and mutates the gun things and
the word bungee.

How about a bot that has a winch, a grappling hook, some 'rope' and a winch?

You would have to do some serious engineering to make it right itself after
reaching the top of whatever you climb, but a mountain climbing(or
rapelling) bot would be way cool!

Just a thought.

The other options is to use a wire but not allow the turret to turn more

to -179 you have to go all the way back around rather than just nipping
across those 2degrees.  It's slower but a lot easier to implement.

Give it enough wire and there's no reason you couldn't nip over those two
degrees.  On the theory of the more range the better, you could let the
wire twist some, and get maybe +/-360 or more.  Just have it re-center
after every attack and you should be OK.

Has anyone considered a Bungee Blaster launcher as a primary weapon
system?  Given the size of the arena they could probably do rather well,
especially the first alternate model with the wide track in the front
could do some nasty damage.  It would be even better with some more mass
to help keep the rears on the ground and increase the momentum.

(...) Sounds cool! You could use a hook made of Technic bits, or the ResQ/ Ninja grapple...
