LEGO Dacta does make lightbulbs... probably more expensive than Radio Shack
though, but at least they attach to other LEGO pieces quite nicely.

Has anyone ran lights from the RCX outputs? I need something brighter than
an LED, any ideas?

I made several diffrent color (even flashing!) lights with the mini xmas
lights. they are real bright if you set the output to 8 or they work at
any level. I took the bulb out of the little plastic holder and soldered
wires to the wires on the bulb and covered it with heat shrink tubing.
they don't fit in a standatd lego hole but if you feed the wire thru the
hole you can pull it tight and the look very cool sticking out.
sorry if i don't make any sense i'm writing this in a hurry so if
somethings not clear mail me.
