(...) So ultimately you want as many matched pairs of motors as possible? I'm not at all sure why you need Robolab for this. 1) Set up all motors with identical loads (identical weights on strings hanging from pulleys, for example). 2) Power all (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) No, but I can think of some ways to generate such data. Part of the problem is that weather or not the sensor sees a return depends on two spread functions: the spread of sound energy from the transmitter, and the spread fo sound energy (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Getting a return off a cylindrical or worse yet, spherical object is very difficult. The sound reflects off in every direction, pretty uniformly, and so little of it comes back to the sensor. I'm not sure about your idea for using multiple (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Just a few general remarks on your setup/questions. There's a nice setup shown on Philo's page from when he compared the different LEGO motors, including some data sheets - maybe this is the type of data sheet you'd like to get? link: (URL) using a (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello. I've been thinking for a while about the best way to test a large quantity of motors in a short period of time. The reason behind this is I mentor an FLL team, and we recently acquired somewhere in the vicinity of 50-100 motors from a (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

I've read the previous postings on the ultrasonic (aka "echo locator" among my students). I'm experimenting to see what the cone of energy looks like. Does anyone have experimental data I can compare to? I also need advice of detecting the scatter. (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) That's great news! It's good to have confirmation about the USB-Serial converter. Also, virually the only reason why I still use Windows occasionally is because of some LEGO apps that won't run on anything else. Have you made a gui, or in what (...) (...) I'd be interested in seeing it, if you don't mind. I also was going to use the Control Lab to control big train layouts, now that I actually have more than one LEGO train to control. :) (18 years ago, 1-May-07, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)
