(...) I guess I don't understand what you mean by a leaky bucket module. I'm imagining something that would work well for "smoothing" the flow, but it will require the output to match the average input. (...) Last year, one section of the GBC was (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) How old are they, and will they be competing in the future? And is this going to be a long-term (5+ year) program, or a flash in the pan? It would seem the NXT will end up being a significant (the only?) FLL kit in the future, as LEGO phases (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | RCX vs NXT for FIRST?

I have offered to help out setting up my kids new classroom to compete in FIRST. I was asked which kid they should get, as both the NXT and RCX are available. Assuming I am mentoring, I would prefer the RCX, as I am familiar with both it and (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

I can report success with a EPOX BT-DG02 dongle on both XP SP2 and Mac OS X 10.4.7. I've taken the liberty of putting this data in a ViaList (an application I've been working on for a while). It's available to all at (URL) monitor this thread and (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Potential Workaround For Recent NXT Firmware Downloading Failure
|

A search of the web will indicate that some new NXT users are having problems upgrading their NXT with the latest firmware. If you're one of the unfortunate few in this situation and are stuck and willing to try anything I have one suggestion. This (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

The "Leaky Bucket" analogy only works if all modules can handle the same average throughput over an extended period of time. Otherwise, the "bucket" (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)
