I agree - and furthermore, whilst a dead short might well cause a battery leak (when the batteries get hot, the contents can expand and rupture the cell) - it's kinda unusual for a battery leak to cause a dead short - the corrosive gunk inside (...) Eric, I came across this some time ago, and even thought about seriously as a controller, although quids in its a bit pricy to buy the device and a GBA if you havent already got one just to use this. I have a 2.0 RCX that is only about 6 months old. I had just put a new set of batteries in it the other day and it was working fine. Just wondering whether the same (unmodified) program will also work when you set the robot to follow in the opposite direction. It appears that you're following the outer edge of the line and I was wondering about the performance when following the (...) (19 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)
