Brian,
LEGO posted a very nice message on Lugnet about this a couple years ago, after a
news story came out, questioning TLG's approach to such things.

In short, the answer will be no. I'm sure they'll be quick to put NXT right
next to RCX on their list of "Do Not Use" words. But, they will be very polite
when they ask you not to use it.
