Dont forget sensor ports too though! I have been in many situations
where more motor, or sensor ports or both would have been very handy.

Understood Steve - and real kudos to you for putting it so well. You
know what would really go down well, a Lego multiplexor, with
connections for additional power supply. If they could do it as an
addon, with much lower price point than buying a second NXT, that
would be a real win.

Very true - even if that does include hacking a way to get more
motors/sensors into it.
