Ironically, there has been much more traffic about the spam than the spam
itself.
It is really the only viable solution. If you put a spam filter on the
list, people will have their messages eaten. If you break the connection
between Lugnet and the mailing list, well I don't think that is a very good
solution either.
If one spam message bothers you (collectively) so much, then ignore it and
delete it from the database. Do you stop using email because you get spam
in your inbox?
