Apart from supply jack in 1.0 and 2.0 marking on 2.0, there are some PCB differences, see board scans here: (URL) 2.0 brick uses a 76kHz IR receiver chip to get better compatibility with Spybots/Manas but much lower sensitivity between RCX to (...)
