Pitsco Datca also sells the Mac cable alone, without the IR tower, for $15.
However, there is no need to buy it from Dacta. The Mindstorm IR
tower cable (DB-9 female on both ends) will work with Robolab
software on a Mac with a DB-9 to mini-DIN 8 adapter, or you can use a
Mac DB-9 modem cable. However, don't use a printer cable, because
its connections are crossed over.

| Question??? If Robolab uses the RCX and can be programmed from either a PC or a MAC, How does it download the program on a MAC?? From what I have been reading, the IR tower CAN NOT be used on a MAC. John A. Donaldson (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
