Help: RCX 1.0 power adapter —Tony Hafner
I just picked up a 1.0 set, and I looked through the documentation for info on the type of adapter to use. There appears to be nothing at all in any of the manuals. So I'm looking at the RCX itself. It says "9-12V~". Is the "~" supposed to indicate (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Off load (open circuit) one reads 10.4v a/c, the other 10.9v a/c. That is well within Lego's 9 - 12v a/c spec. JB (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I feel a little better about actually using the port now. I was concerned because of the speculation a while back regarding why the port was removed, and I have no intention of burning out the unit. -- Tony (...)
