My birthday's coming soon (I'm 12) , and since there isn't much for my
parents to buy me from Lego that I don't have or detest, I might ask for a
Spybotic set. (I know, I'm mainly a space, pirate and castle fan.)
I'm interested in the new pieces and the programming- GO DAVE BAUM!
but I'm wondering whch one is 'best.'  I'm leaning twords Gigamesh, becouse
of the new gears, but I'm wondering what you guys think.

Gigamesh and Snaptrax have fewer parts but can handle some
pretty rough terrain. Shadowstrike and Technojaw have more steps and
a really cool secondary motion on the "hands" on either side of
the bot.

They're all pretty cool, but I'd try Technojaw or Shadowstrike
if you're already a good builder. On the other hand, Gigamesh and
Snaptrax can climb pretty well.

The obvious outcome is to buy one from each of the pairs.... :-)

Cheers, Ralph

(...) What do those 'hand's do? On snaptrax and Technojaw, it seems to bump up with the touch sensor, but what do they actually do? (...) Thanks! -JHK (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)
