Does the "Cross axle with holes" exist in any lengths other than 16?

A bit off the topic, but there does exist a similar piece that has a
length of 11 studs or so.  There's one in blue in the 8462 Tow Truck

It has an I cross section, and is slightly more narrow than a usual
beam.

The 4216 Basic set also has two of them in yellow, or so it seems:

Does the "Cross axle with holes" exist in any lengths other than 16? If so, in what lengths does it exist, and if possible what are the part numbers of the other lengths? -John Van (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
