I have the fiber optic cable from Extreme Creatures (I accidently said
RoboSports in my earlier post), but that is about 9.5 cm. If the one in RIS
2.0 is 19.5 cm then it must be a different part, or am I missing something.
I am looking for a cable that is about 20 cm long.

How long is the fiber optic cable in the kit?

It´s 19,5 cm.

BTW, it's not a new part. The Extreme Creatures Expansion set contains 6 or
8 of these, as did the classic Technic Space Shuttle set. In both of these
sets, the fiber optic strands are used with a rotating light gizmo.
