Hi all, I haven't been able to find anything on the net about a Lego implementation of an orthogonal drive system using only motors (i.e. no pnumatics). Orthogonal is when your your chassis can go straight forward and back, and also side to side, (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi, I could not find the link but as far as I remember there was an information page about the sensors and motors and solar panels on pitsco ( or something else ?) site. I am unable to find the same. The pages had all the technical characteristics (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi David, we had the same problem and solved it not using your raising-lowering idea (we also thought about it ;-) ) but we build a synchrodrive. Have a look at it if interested. (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You could make a big wheel made of lego plates, and put smooth ones on top for 'colors'. Then you could use a touch sensor, and use the difference between the low spots and the high spots as 1 location. Do you really need to know the direction (...) Hi David, I have built a robot that does this for a university 'robot maze solver' project. My solution is big, ugly, very slow and pretty complex. It could probably be improved a lot if it was redesigned. However, it uses 3 motors (1 for (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I was wondering how you were handling the edge conditions. Have you tried making a wheel which is a continuous gradiant from black to white over the 360 degrees of rotation? Lookup wouldn't be required as there would be a direct relationship (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I downloaded the program from RCX Command Centre to my scout. I then pressed run, but it didn't run the program. It wasn't to big because it was it was only 'On(OUT_A);'. Does anybody know what to do? TNX (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
