(...) Have you actually tried this? I've taken both my RCX's (1.0 & 2.0) apart, but, while there is a 5V regulator for the MCU, I couldn't see any regulator for the motor outputs. Hi there, I recently picked up a 9748 DDK. I think it is a pretty fun set, for the limited amount of things that it does. (...) The expansion sets are meant to work with the Robotics Invention System (RIS), and to a (much) lesser extent the Robotics Discovery System (RDS). Any kind you want, there are a myriad of available languages to use with it, whether its the out of the box lego, paint by number language ;) , or the down and dirty full C/C++ legos language, and many others in between, forth, python, java, to name (...)
