Hi everybody, i´m new around here! I´m finishing my last university's year, and i´m interested on making a work with the RCX. I´m wondering if i can use the computer's memory and microprocessor behalf the RCX´s memory and microprocessor. (...) (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Yes - providing there is a 'line of sight' between the IR 'tower' and the RCX's IR window. If the robot is facing away from the tower, it won't see messages sent by your PC...if it drives under a table or something... same problem. So, if (...) (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Actually the IR link may work even when the RCX is not facing the IR tower. If the range of both devices is set to `far', IR light reflections may be strong enough to be `seen' by IR receivers. hi all Even I thought that you have to keep facing the rcx only in front of the transmitter, but later I found that it can be controlled even if the rcx goes under the bed or some hidden place.. I´m wondering if i can use the computer's memory and (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) For infra_red_ that may be about the same thing as black. A good idea in many places is to point the IR upwards, assuming that (a) there is a ceiling and (b) it is not dark green. Jürgen (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
