  Re: Searching for alternatives

(...) Are you attempting the NQC 'port' to the agenda? Please make sure you let us all know how it's going. Here's the four main things I think we all want: 1. Use it as a Remote (1 -255, motors etc) 2. Download Firmware to RCX 3. Download programs (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Agenda question

Does anybody know if the developer edition Agenda comes with any method to coneect to a PC? (Serial cable/cradle) Or do these need to be bought separately? Thanks, Henry Hallam (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: robolab/rcx/scout/send mail command

The send mail/receive mail commands in ROBOLAB are like the SendPBMessage in the OCX (Message in NQC?). Like NQC, you can send things other than strict primitive integers (a limitation of RCX Code) like sensor values. As far as talking to the scout (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Line following program?

There is a default line following program in the Amusement Park theme of ROBOLAB. Its called Tour Bus. If this doesn't follow the test pattern, then you may need to modify the robot/program a little. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: ROBOLAB for non PowerPC macs?

Short answer: no. Long answer: The demos you are thinking of were for the LEGO Dacta Serial Interface Box (Interface B) or earlier. There is a ROBOLAB-like non-PowerPC interface called LEGO Engineer for that old hardware. I can't remember why (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Gearing down a lego motor

I think a worm gear and a 40-tooth gear worked for me. A string was fixed above, and wound around the axle connected to the 40-tooth gear. This wasn't fast though, more like a slow climb. But I think you definitely want a worm gear or some kind of (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Searching for alternatives

(...) I'm not suggesting that you 'hack into it'...it has a perfectly well documented set of programming tools and is easily interfaced to the PC. I had a new program that I'd written myself running on the Agenda within a half hour of taking it out (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
