  Re: New Pitsco Catalog

(...) I tried to use Solar panels for power the RCX. No go. It needs a lot of amps to power it and solar is not big on amps... As a light sensor it's incredible fast. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Pitsco Catalog

There's lots of stuff in the Pitsco product line for energy-related training for schools. Check out: (URL) I wonder too if anyone uses it for robotics power sources. I also wonder if it's any good as a light sensor. Jerry (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  New Pitsco Catalog

I got the new Pitsco 2001 catalog in the mail today, and noticed that there's a LEGO solar panel available. Is this a new product? I was under the impression that LEGO didn't make a solar panel. Anybody know what its mA output (in direct sunlight) (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  SCARA, Anyone?

Just curious... Is anyone else trying to do a SCARA? This is really an interesting robot-concept, and I'd love to see others ideas. Programming has been my main headache; I've not successfully implemented any sort of vector/servo typ drive tasks in (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Interfacing Sharp's GP2D02 Distance Sensor to the RCX

(...) Hallo Ram, you are right that my solution for the Distance Tracker Bot, the interface for the GP2D02 is a real "resource killer". At the beginning i planned to istall two of the GP2D02 at my RCX with this interface. That's the reason i'd (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Sv: Chemical sensor?

Yes, there are some chemical sensors available from (URL) other a pH sensor and an oxygen sensor. What sort of chemistry was on your mind? I am profesionally interested in among other glucose sensors, but I never tried to combine it with Lego. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  MOC: Brick mixer

You will find the Brick mixer at (URL) device reads a value on a card, then an arm places colored bricks picked from four feeders on a conveyor belt, ordered according the value read.
