I just wanted you to take a pause and think if VB is really the way you want
to go.

If he wants to control the pBrick *directly* through the PC, he'll have to
use some kind of PC based language (VB, VC++, Delphi, Nortwoods Software
Sanscript or any other ActiveX-enabled language... :)

If he's using the VB *only* to download a set of comands to be carried out
autonomously by the pBrick, then, of course, LEGO's MindScript or David's
free NQC are the *easiest* way to go.

Now that we have access to the Vision Command, and through the use of the
recently announced Snoozy's "ActiveX for controlling the Vision Command
camera" (http://www.legomindstorms-belgium.org) we'll be using more and
more a mix of the two platforms. PC programs mixed/interworking with pBrick
programs.

So, depending of what he does with VB+pBrick, there might be something to
gain with he's VB expertise.

Right ? :)

Hi John, some answers to your questions... 1) I don't know of any lego clubs in London - I live west of London and am not aware of any in the area. (maybe we should start one!) 2) I found this web site (URL) excellent for learning VB for Mindstorms (...) (24 years ago, 14-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)
