Especially when they have to turn in opposite directions, as in the case
of a standard differential drive robot (with one motor driving the left
and the other the right side of the robot)! This is because a motor is
always more efficient turning one way than the other, so even if you have
identical LEGO motors, if you make one turn the opposite direction, it
will be moving slower than its matched twin turning in its "native"
direction.
