Bob Fay's suggestion is a good one, here's another option:

Drive both sides with a single motor via a differential, add a rack + pinion
steering to the front, or, if you have a second differential, create a
mixing
differential for a skid-steered robot.  Now, it will go straight for sure.
Add
a rotation sensor to measure distance.  Once you start the turn, you go the
appropriate distance to turn 180 degrees, straighten the steering, and then
go the right rotations to go 15 feet.

I got a problem.  I have a simple two motor robot that I want to have a • push
button cause the following:

1 hit the push button
2 robot turns 180 deg and move forward
3. after 15 feet robot stops
4 repeat 1 - 3

The problme i am having is that the robot will not go straigt.  it is not
turning 180 degrees.

See my website for pics and the code I am using.

Please any advcise would be helpful.  This is for a project/demo in the
