  OT- but really worth it

take a look at the cyber spider at www.wowwee.com it does a lot of what walker builders want to do and it's really cheap. $20.00 USD i picked up one this week and all i'm looking for right now is the special batteries that are needed for the remote.   Re: vision command idea...

okay, i guess i am not getting the proper idea across... i do not want a synchro-drive, i'm looking for a solution to the problem of having the back wheels turn opposite from the front wheels thus trimming the turing radius down. now, the drive (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Axle joiner angles

I was looking at the axle joiner thingies that let you connect two axles at an angle. The angles Lego have chosen to supply seem incredibly non-useful (apart from the obvious 180 and 90 degree ones). Each part also has a number on it. Here is a (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Books for Mindstorms

(...) I assume you mean this model: (URL) like the look of it, but I'm not sure what is does. Can it lift, turn and drop? Scott A (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.books)

Re: Code Pilot is Fantastic RCX add-on!

(...) Yes, I agree that this is an interesting function. I've used the same kind of mechanism in many of my own MOCs, as it allows for tighter turns without the friction you would get with a normal setup. While the CodePilot unit itself is fairly (...)   Code Pilot is Fantastic RCX add-on!

I bought a CodePilot last year when S@H had them on sale for $US100. The LEGO outlet store in Cookstown Ontario is rumored to have a few left. Anyways, the box was gathering dust until I had finished a major project - the project is still not done, (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

RE: What's the cheapest way to get 9V motors?

Run out to the local TRU and look for the ZNAP sets in the LEGO section. Some of them have the 9 volt motors (and battery boxes) often for as little as $9.00. Happy hunting! Jeff Jeffrey Hazen North Mill Technology jeffrey.hazen@northmill.net (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCXTCL.ZIP is repaired - finally!

Thanks for the flood of email indicating that RCXTCL is broken! My own stupidity kept reloading the cached version, and it was, of course, OK. Once I reloaded Windows on my machine, the problem was obvious. Anyways, the new RCXTCL.ZIP can be loaded (...)   What's the cheapest way to get 9V motors?

I have in mind a project that I need several mor emotors for (I have 6 now). Does anyone have an idea of how I could get say, a dozen more? Besides, of course, buying them from S@H for $16 a pop. They don't seem to pop up on eBay or even Brickbay (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)
