  Re: Book question

(...) The books have different strengths. There are lots of reviews out there - see (URL) for a few. I'd add a third book into the list, though..."Extreme Mindstorms" by myself, Mike Gasperi, Ralph Hempel, and Luis Villa. If you want to dive into (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello, The sequence actually starts on the G, like this: PlayTone(392, EIGHTH); PlayTone(523, EIGHTH); PlayTone(659, EIGHTH); PlayTone(784, EIGHTH * 2); PlayTone(659, EIGHTH); PlayTone(784, EIGHTH * 2); A reasonable value for EIGHTH is 16.   Checking resources on legOS

Do we have any method to check how many resources are left on the RCX with the use of legOS? i.e. variable memory. Thanks Yiu (25 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Thinking outside of the blocks

Here is a cute stepper-motor driver we've been rigging. It takes a motor-on pulse and converts it to a 12V stepper step. It uses positive pulses and negative pulses to make the stepper go forward or backward. If you tell the RCX to run the motor at (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: lejos - sample program

You can use some of the examples in the distribution. I also just recently added the line follower example from TinyVM (port untested), one for communication between 2 RCXs, and one that prints "hello world" on the LCD. You should be able to get (...) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Droid Development Kit

This is about as low as they got in the US, (approx US $50.00), and for that it's a nice collection of white beams and bits. I'm not sure I would have bought it unless I had the other robotics bricks (Scout and RCX) already. It doesn't do much by (...)
