My remote control suddenly stopped working yesterday, and I immediately replaced the batteries, but that does not appear to have been the problem. What is the failure mode of these devices? Can the ir "bulb" burn out? If so, can it be replaced? Is (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Those resistors in the Cybermaster touch sensors are in parallel to the sensor. You can read its value when the sensor is not pressed. I have just finished this EXACT book, so I'm sorry, but its a little too late to collaborate. :) And although the audience is broader than the other books, i certainly have not left adults out, as there are plenty of advanced concepts in the book as (...) I've also notice NQC codes are much smaller in comparision to RCX. I think the speed and size have to do with the fact that RCX are generated generic codes (very inefficient). (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Am I imagining things, or is NQC much faster than RCX Code when programmed to do similar tasks. As part of my ongoing NQC study, I replaced today a program I'd originally written with the drag-n-drop RCX Code generator, with one written in NQC. It's (...)
