sounds to me like you have a bad serial port on your computer, have you had the computer apart since this problem started? Did you perhaps bump a cable or connection. Borrow a laptop and try your cable and tower on it, maybe your plug and play (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi, this seems to be a very good idea for a new RCX sensor. Reading the Sharp data sheets for their infrared distance sensors I want to write some facts about. Here is me with my roving webcam bot. This weekend I made an improved version. I used WebCam32 for the webcam, my WebBrick program for robot control over IP, NQC code for motor control, IBM's cordless modem, a USB to serial converter to get the (...) I've posted the kernel documentation in an Acrobat file to (URL) . For a text-only file, this one is rather large, about 275K--it seems all the fonts have been included as bitmaps rather than outlines. I've re-cropped this to standard US letter size (...) Tobias, The tower light will light even if the battery is dead or improperly connected. The battery compartment is not very well designed, and it can sometimes cause problems. Check the battery again. First, make sure it is fresh. I use the tongue (...) (25 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)
