I've received a nice email from Lego Shop At Home in the UK (I sent them a query about the parts I wanted as well as a request for a catalogue) and they can give me the RIS 1.0 to 1.5 Upgrade for £20, which is about $28. Not too bad! Dan (25 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

That sensor looks very cool. It seems like it could run off of the standard brick voltage too, unlike the sonar sensor which would need an additional battery pack. And it is cheap. Rig it up! (...) (25 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)
