Guys,
I want to buy RIS but please advise should I buy the 1.5 now or wait the 2.0
next year?
BTW, is the RCX updateable (just like the PalmOS) and what is the difference
for a full set (2.0) and upgrade kit (1.5 to 2.0) ?
Please advise.

| (...) We don't know much about 2.0 yet. It may have some hardware changes, which of course aren't upgradable. But the software is even more upgradable than PalmOS, since the RCX doesn't even have flash memory -- it's all dynamic ram. (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

| Andy, my advice would be to by a RIS 1.5 now, and buy a RIS 2.0 when it comes out... :-) Seriously, if you are interested in the RIS, go ahead, and buy it. There's nothing wrong with it. You'll enjoy it. If you wait until Spring 2001 for the RIS (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)
