I will look into trying to set up a website. I have no idea if my
local isp can do it.

But be warned, this kind of hand wired project is not for the
faint hearted! Two 68 plcc chips, two 44 plcc chips, two 32
pin DIPs and eight motor drivers providing 8 motor outputs,
8 passive inputs and 8 active inputs takes a lot of work!

Maybe Roger Hamlett can whip up a circuit board for it - are
you listening Roger?

This seems a very "ambitious" project : any web page about it? It seems • very
interesting ! And if it can be programmed in C...

No, the H8 has got the 64k limit. I'm using intel 80C188XL. Its a
CMOS CPU, only about 15mA, and it runs the x86 order code so
all the software algorithms can be checked out on a PC first.

I have included a 38kHz RCX compatible IR link, but I've put a
418MHz UHF radio link in it too which is faster 38.4kb/s and
doesn't have the line of sight limitation.

What microprocessor will you be using? Hitachi H8 like on the • Handyboards.

In the RCX, there is a decidedly small amount of ram. This limits • what
you
can
do with the RCX. Is there any way to add extra ram to the board? If • we
could
get 2mb, then that would be great!!

I'm just thinking out loud..
