In the RCX, there is a decidedly small amount of ram. This limits what you • can
do with the RCX. Is there any way to add extra ram to the board? If we • could
get 2mb, then that would be great!!

I'm just thinking out loud..

Virtual memory might be an option. Suppose you
get a PDA with lots of RAM to accompany and talk
to the RCX. The kind of virtual memory you'd get
this way could be transparent to the programmer
with the help of a firmware replacement. It would be
slow, sure. Pages would have to be really small (say,
32 bytes). The question is: would it be slower than
having the PDA control the RCX?
