Almost Holonomic Drive Built With The NXT

I have been working on a few different designs for a Lego Holonomic Drive or Killough Platform. I almost have the components right with the robot that I have built here: (URL) anyone else built this type of platform using the NXT set? I found this (...)   More Not eXactly C (NXC) beta news

Re: Not eXactly C beta news (NBC)

Re: Not eXactly C beta news (NBC)

(...) Where do we find the sample file test.nxc, or some other documentation of NXC? I didn't find the sample file in the source and binary distributions of beta 13. (19 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, FTX)

Jean Marc - I was just looking at your brickshelf pictures...very cool... Interesting thing I noticed...that sumo robot looks really similar to the one you used in August I think :) Bryan (19 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.ca.novalug, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.ca.ns, lugnet.robotics.events, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains)

Not eXactly C beta news (NBC)

  Re: Locked motor

I can't believe I didn't find the description on your site. It was the first place I looked!! Since no easy repair appears to be possible I've contacted the seller who has graciously accepted to take the motor back and give me a refund. Thanks to (...)   Re: NXT Firmware source code

(...) I am curious; have you ever had a situation where bad firmware locked up the NXT? And if so, what was the process to restore it to working order? (I don't have a bricked brick, I'm just asking for future reference.) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: NXT Firmware source code

(...) Flash memories all have a limited number of write cycles before they become unreliable. Usually, the on-chip write controller will "load-balance" the writes so that different memory locations all get used the same number of times, (...) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: NXT Firmware source code

(...) This is very good news. Thanks for the update. I've been waiting for this for a long time, particularly to have a look at the rather weak graphics capabilities. I've had an expanded font (and a much smaller one) kicking around for a while now. (...) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Locked motor

(...) Hi all, Unfortunately, there are very little chance that you may repair your 71427. Most of the motors I have seen with locked shaft have their permanent magnet (made from sintered magnetic powder) partially turned back into powder. That's (...) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Locked motor

(...) Concerning the motors... a while back I discovered that I had a number of the 71427 style motors that had been removed from ZNAP sets and never used (nor tested). Someone expressed an interest in buying them, so I got out the train power (...) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Locked motor

(...) I have not taken my locked motor apart (see below) but if it is a gear that is stripped then, as a last resort, these can be replaced with a custom made one. If you are lucky enough to know someone who is a machinist, or in the local Model (...) (19 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)
