Yes, the object is to have the RCX robot monitor its own battery charge (something available to the RCX firmware, and lejos, etc..) and then when it is consistently low to drive up to some sort of home made charging station and get a boost. The (...) (23 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

This is awesome info! It would be interesting to see the results of following acute angles, zig-zags (with combinations of acute, right, and obtuse angles), line-branching, and wavy-lines leading to zig-zag lines. Any plans to include those as well? (...) (23 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Very interesting (and good) work. It may be useful for you to post the program used, because (as you said) it can make a difference in the results. However, I have to disagree with part of the conclusion: "A line follower using a single light sensor (...) (23 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi, people I have carried out an investigation into line following, a task that all respectable bots are expected to be able to do. Diagrams often show the idealized zigzag path that the robot is supposed to take when following a line. However, I (...) (23 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello, (...) The only problem with that is that you will have to guarantee a max. voltage of 9 or 10 V at the RCX. I don't think usual charging circuits have a voltage limit that makes sense ... Greetings Horst (23 years ago, 23-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

hi all, i have made some measurements with lnp in legOS 0.2.4 under ideal conditions (dark room with minimal load on PC and RCX) and found that sending a 10 byte message with lnp_addressing_write averages on about 0.06136 seconds (+/- 10 ms for time (...)
