Oh, and I forgot one of the "BIGGEST" wishes on the list: 5) Linksys wireless access port response rather than the directional IR port. Or at least SOME form of 900MHz+ communication that is non-directional, with higher bandwidth (who knows...maybe (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Seems to me that the BEST implementation of the RCX would be for some CORE changes and feature sets to be built in. I realize that these would be somewhat expensive, but I would pay pretty good money to have an RCX with the following specs (built (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) I have not tried to compile this, but one thing that looks suspicious is that you are using doubles. Doubles are not supported. I've seen those. I think what someone does is buys a mindstorms set, and breaks it up into these parts: - 2.0 upgrade stuff (CD, IR tower, instructions, and test pad) ($20 to $40) - RCX ($80 to $100) - Non-electric stuff (the legos) ($50 to $75) I (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I agree with your opinions of the flex axles, they dont turn smoothly, and if there is any slack the flex axles sometimes bend in on themselves before turning the axle. I've bought the upgrade software from Lego (5 copies in fact @ $20 plus shipping a pop) and I've bought "upgrade kits" or "upgrade sets" on eBay for around $40, plus shipping. These "sets" are not that common, but not rare, either, and include the (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)
