  Re: BricxCC release 3.3.3.7

(...) Whoops. I totally screwed that up. I apparently put an old EXE in the ZIP file. I need to seriously improve my configuration management! :-) Sorry about the mixup. I'm not going to release again until I'm sure I've tracked down and fixed the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: power source

(...) Actually, it is regulated (speaking as one who has had to replace the fuse that comes before the regulator). Think about it. It has to be. The batteries provide 9V, the MCU requires 5V. If it wasn't regulated, you'd kill it. There is also a (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lost my IR Tower

Stef (...) The IR LEDs are pulsed on and off at 30kHz - that's on top of the 2400bps serial signal. I had to remove that 30kHz signal. That's what the 100nF (on the base of the transistor) is for. The time-constant of the 100nF and the 470R has to (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: How communication is handled

the better way to know how the IR work is the legOS kernel source. I read it and see that legOS use IRQ for transmiting and receiving message. When legOS receive a message he see first if the activity of the IR transmitter is not true. Then he call (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  How communication is handled

Hello everyone! Does anyonk know what the RCX does with IR data it sees from the IR module when it is busy transmitting? I've set the RCX in a situation where I know the IR it was sending could be seen by it's own IR detector, yet it didn't appear (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lost my IR Tower

(...) It's probably easier to solder the wires on without the diodes. They could probably be put back on easily though. (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)
