I've uploaded pictures of this rcx controled rail.The purpose of this thing is to move a marble or two, back and forth.It uses a rotation sensor and 2 motors to pivot the whole thing left or right and a rotation sensor and a motor to move the rail (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

IMHO is the easiest way to get strong electro-magnets to disassemble 6V relays. They include good electro-magnets. I did so and was able to hold a 500g hammer with two of them running at 6V. I used relays from FINDER (Series 55 if i remember right), (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)
