Re: Cat by the tail!: Rcx / MindStorms Classroom

*** Forwarded from Tonya, who is having trouble posting here... *** In my opinion the mindstorms sets for $199 are the best deal.   hbtest does not run

Hi all, Everything looks normal as far as I can tell. Able to download IC , lib_hb.icb, lib_hb.c and hbtest.c but nothing happens. I can exercise the hb functions individually using IC but hbtest.c does nothing. What could be the problem? TIA John (26 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: hbtest does not run

hbtest.c doesn't do anything by itself. you have to run the functions it contains at the IC command line; e.g., testmotors(); . walk thru the assembly instructions for info on using hbtest.c to test your board (URL). fred (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hello, I have two RCX bricks and would like them to co-operate without using the IR-Port. Is it possible to communicate by attaching a motor port of the first RCX to a sensor port of the second? As far as I know the motors work on 9V and the sensors (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: It's Time AFOL Take Action!

Ralph, I agree with you. But I am probably in the minority. For me all LEGO sets are only parts packs for my own buildings. Gary Istok (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.space, lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains)

  Lego Protocol Patent

I periodicaly search patents assigned to Interlego just to see what kind of stuff LEGO might be up to. I noticed this one granted in September on a communications protocol. I don't get into this level of programming detail and it might not even (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
