Re: Review of 7106 Droid Escape

I can't wait to get my hands on those 4x4x6 curved wall pieces! Those will be great architectural building components! You can build up walls like this using the 4x4x1 curved pieces, but its almost impossible to get enough to do anything with. (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Review of 7106 Droid Escape

<set:7106 Droid Escape> Star Wars, Classic, {Episode IV} $9.99 (Canada), 44 pieces including C-3P0 and R2-D2 Yay! 2001 LEGO! It was pretty cool to find this set, since I wasn't expecting to see any new sets until December 27. I had just seen Star (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

(...) I have to agree that this set was certainly a great set in my opinion. I liked them so much that once KB got them at $4.99 I bought at least a dozen and have no plans to get rid of any of the parts. On of the best "parts" sets in the last five (...) <snip (...) <snip> You know, you can take two of these and put them together. If you put "legs" on the bottom of it, it looks kinda like a watertower. $0.02 (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Why does everyone hate Witche's Windship ( Mini-Review of 6037)

I neglected to mention that the inverse black dome piece CAN be inverted and used as a more classical looking dome. I did it in this MOC (with a tan version): (URL) just use a 2x2x1 round piece with a technic axle in it. You attach this to your flat (...) (...) Certainly for the size of the set, I think the main model is decent. (...) Yea, I'm not sure how useful the bottom-dome is to me. I'll probably find some use for it, but as one of the major pieces, it sure is a detractor for buying lots of (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.reviews)

Why does everyone hate Witche's Windship ( Mini-Review of 6037)

I've seen no end of bad comments about this set, and I just can't understand why. I wouldn't say its a "great" set, but for a small set, it has a lot of great pieces, and I think the main model is kind of neat too. Given that you can pick it up for (...)   Mini-Review of Set 2161 - AquaDozer - Thumbs Up!

Hi, This set has been around for a long time, but you can get it for $14 or less now at KBKids.com. Primary Model: The primary model looks pretty cool. (...) Yep. I know they showed up chrome in a few different sets. Well, OK, at least two, one of which is 2963. They look even weirder (i.e., more un-LEGO-ish) without the chrome.
