Only thing I would request is that you add an RSS feed to your blog. Blogger makes this really easy (under settings, then site feed) and would assist those of us who rely on our aggregators to keep up to date on various blogs.

I appear to have an atom feed (not quite sure what that means) at: http://vignettebricks.blogspot.com/atom.xml Is that what you mean? I see that there is also a link to Feedburner http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/home , so maybe I should read up on that. I gather from this that there are two different feed formats? Are these completely incompatible? Is one significantly better than the other? This is really my first foray beyond basic HTML, so I’m learning as I go.

The .xml file is similar to a RSS feed. Most aggregators use them interchangeably. So that is indeed what I was looking for. I should have just checked for that file, instead of relying on Bloglines to find it for me. Feedburner looks like a way to track how many people are reading the feed that goes out. (If I am getting the gist correctly). Similar to a hit counter for your feed.

The main thing here is that I won’t have to check your blog every day to see if it is updated. Instead, when you update, it will be listed as new (with a number letting me know how many posts you have made since I last checked it.) Blogger gives you the option of sending out your whole message or just a snippet, which if it sounded interesting, would force me to come over and check it out.
